How To Do Spain on Budget:

European countries are costlier than most of the tourist places in southeast Asia. Yet, it is still possible to cover Spain on the budget. The major cost is of flights, stay & site seeing. Flights if booked before a few months might fetch great offers & sites like Skyscanner, Kayak, and Momondo will help one to get some great discounts.

After booking flight tickets, the next step is getting a visa, which I have already mentioned in the prior blog posts.

Accommodations are in plenty on booking.com, which by far has the best hostel collection depending on your budget. Some people use Hostel.com as well. On the road, it is advisable to book a hostel that offers a kitchen or some extra offerings, this will not only help to cook your own food but will also help in keeping the cost down.

Most of the cities can be covered on foot; if not the option of the cycle is also available along with the buses & taxis. If one is not willing to walk then he or she can prefer a city card. City card will enable to use public transport for unlimited times for a few days. However, if you want to travel intercity there are options of bus available as well.

If one buys food from the supermarket, cooks his or her own meals, and stays in hostels ranging from Rs 700 to Rs 1100 per night. Then the budget to cover Spain will start from Rs 2000 per day excluding the entry fee for the sightseeing. A budget of a minimum of Rs 60,000 for 8 - 10 days in Spain shall be in mind. The rate is as per the current market i.e 2021.

Is Spain Safe For Solo Travellers:

Spain is a fairly safe country to travel to. At no point does one feels unsafe here. Nevertheless one should be careful of the surroundings while traveling in the empty lane. Personally, I didn't feel anything to worry about. The most challenging part will be communication with the locals as the majority of the people don't speak English.

My Spain Experience:

Of all the countries I visited in Europe, Spain is the best country to visit thus far. The food is awesome, the people are great & the vibe of the country is different. Be it Barcelona, Madrid or Seville; each city will teach something or show some part of Spain to you. In Barcelona I witnessed the craziest parties, Madrid was more like a fashion capital of the world, Seville streets will capture your mind & Ibiza beaches are one of the best in the world. I thoroughly enjoyed Spain during my limited period over there.

Spain is one of the countries in Europe, that offers great food. During the afternoon people get together for a drink & tapas. Tapas is a special dish of Spain which comes in various forms. It is one of the best local cuisines to eat.
