Della & Pavana Lake: A weekend Well Spent

There are lots of places near Mumbai where one can spend a quality time. Mumbai has a space constraints so finding an open space is a tough thing to do.Della adventure is answer for such constraints, Della has established a park in Lonavala (some 2.5 or 3 hours drive from Mumbai & 1.5 hours drive from Pune). An adventure park which offers variety of outdoor activities & surely is good place to visit.

Della Adventures:

Della Adventures is located in Lonavala. The place has many activities like paintball, wall climbing, zip line,  archery, shooting, swings, obstacle, dirt bike racing etc. The prices of the activities vary. However, there is a basic plan which allows one to play games like snooker, table tennis, chess, carrom, net practice (cricket), archery. But, to play games like paintball, dirtbike racing one need to shed extra rupees. Other than this they also provide staying option if one is willing to spend another day. Click here to book a room in Della.

Della Mark My Adventure

The basic package starts from approx 2000 excluding taxes.  However, there are many offers available on online booking which can be cheaper than this price. The same can be looked by clicking here.

Dirt biking Della Adventure

I went to this park with my friends, I felt the basic package was overpriced. However, it is a good place for kids, as they can ride cycles, pet a dog & enjoy some time away from honking of vehicles. But, for adults, it might be disappointing because of the rush & the price.

Carrying out all the activities in a single day is difficult. The best would be to shortlist the activities one wants to do & only perform those. Although, it is possible to cover all the activities in 2 day.

A food court is available in the park. So, there is no need to worry about the food. The cost of food in restaurant is on a higher side, but that is expected if traveling to some adventure club.

We spent one afternoon there & for us it was a decent one time visit. We enjoyed our time over there. But, will think to visit the place again. After spending an afternoon, we moved to Pavana Lake for the evening. Lake is some 1.5 to 2 hours journey from Della Adventures.

Pavana Lake:

Pavana lake is a wonderful site for camping. Located at some distance from the city. The sites near a lake are owned by local villagers. Hence, it is logical to take a camping package from them. The charges are not high, so one can afford it easily. The package includes a tent, a camp fire, bonfire (if lucky enough to get one), food & morning snacks & the cost of the package was approx 1000 per head.

Pavana Lake Mark My Adventure

The best part of camping is its view, so choose the view accordingly. Luckily, we got good location. You can search camping site by clicking on this link.

The night here was more about sitting near the campfire & chit chatting about different phases of the life or different experiences.

Morning View Pavana Lake

The morning views were mesmerizing, the never-ending landscapes & peace all around the camp is the experience which one can only dream of. I particularly enjoyed the morning scene because of the freshness in the air & nature.

Bhandardara Camping

How often one spends weekends just procrastinating about activities he or she wants to do. But, we hardly take any steps towards it. This point is valid for me as well. I have spent many weekends trying to imagine things I want to do during my void time. However, I did nothing to change it. But, one weekend I tried to change this habit & left home for a camping trip. Camping is becoming a new fad among the city people & why not. A place where one can sit calmly & unclutter daily life stress is a need of this hour. People are running behind fame & money & because of which finding a time for self is getting obsolete. Not going into the details of stresses & all. This post is my experience of camping near Bhandardara Dam.

Bhandardara is approx 4 Hrs drive from Mumbai & approx 2.5 to 3 Hrs from Pune. The gigantic lake has many beautiful points to explore. Most of the sites near lakes have already been taken by local villagers. Thus, one needs to contact villagers to get the best deal. Camping usually a one day, in fact, one evening thing to do & is cheap in pockets as well.

The best way to find deals near Bhandardara click on this link Camps Near Bhandardara. Usually, in a campsite, a tent is provided along with bonfire, music system (which varies with the service providers). The only drawback of these sorts of arrangement is the crowd. For-profit margins, villagers are allowing more camp than the required ones which steals the calmness of the place.

If one is looking for more of a luxurious trip then it can be disappointing as there are no proper washrooms & not so comfortable sleeping arrangements. But, some things have to be sacrificed to gain other things & this is one such part of the trip.

The Journey

We traveled to the lake by car. It took us roughly 4 hours to reach the lake. We did our booking while traveling. Luckily we got one in time. The location of the camp was superb, the water was hardly 10 to 15 Mts away from the camps. We reached around 8:30 or 9 pm in the night & it was pitch dark. The time we reached, dinner has already begun; we told him that we will be having it late in the night. So, we sat there near the bonfire & chatted.  The temperature dropped drastically & after having sat there for few hours we slept in the tent.

The next morning, we woke up to the pleasant lake the temperature, the tea & the view made it a perfect morning. It was a refreshing feeling to see the water & greenery than concrete jungles & some fresh air (which is getting rare these days). The lake is beautiful & very calm. There is an island which can be reached by boat. However, due to some issues, we couldn’t able to reach the island.

Bhandardara Mark My Adventure

People earn to enjoy a view like these. The moment you open your eyes, there is a lake surrounded by the hills. Every place has its own high & this place certainly has its. The best way to spend some quality time is by having some quality conversation.

Lake View Mark My Adventure

This place is good for a day’s visit. Enjoy camping here & unclutter from the stress.

Ajanta & Ellora Caves

A visit to the world heritage site “Ajanta & Ellora caves” at Aurangabad, Maharashtra was truly a beginning for me. A beginning to a search that led to a lot of other interesting findings/thought processes, leaving me more inquisitive than ever.

History

Consisting of 30 rock cut caves, Ajanta was built over a period of 900 years (2 B.C to 6 A.D). Mammoth excavations were turned to fine carvings of exceptional Buddhist sculptures and what the Archaeological Survey of India states “the finest surviving examples of Indian art, particularly painting”. It is believed that Buddhism flourished at the time Ajanta caves were built and hence the caves built during the reign of different Buddhist rulers showcase various stories of the ‘enlightened one’ and selected portions of Jataka tales. The unique paintings on the cave walls, some of which has the modern day “3D” effect, makes one ponder in utter amazement at the vast knowledge of craftsmanship and artistry that their creators possessed thousands of years ago.

Ellora

Dazzling in its glory on having depicted marvelous sculptures from three different religions viz. the Buddhism, the Hinduism and the Jainism, the Ellora caves too is a spectacular piece of art.

Ajant & Ellora Caves Mark My Adventure

These sculptures also bring forth a lot of facets from the bygone era which are a real treasure and evoke lot of quest around them. For instance, the sculpture that shows Ravana, the king of Srilanka whisking away Sita in the so called “Puskpak Vimana”. Now this ‘pushpak vimana’ looks exactly like the present day ‘jetpack‘ in its features, size, etc. Did Ravana have a jet pack in those times and did he use the same which people back then knew about and we don’t? Well, I was so intrigued by this that I thoroughly searched the net and here’s what I found:

All the dexterously sculpted pieces of art had story in them. Did the artists of these caves know the real stories behind several myths, worn out versions of which are left for us today?

With so many small little pathways within the caves having dead ends and spots of ventilation (big holes on the ground) all across, could there have been an underground habitation also?

This was also something that caught my deep attention.

It’s said that many Muslim rulers including Aurangzeb had sent huge number of soldiers to destroy the sculptures of Ellora caves, trying as hard as they could, they could do little harm to certain structures, unable to make a dent on the rest.

If humans couldn’t destroy even half of what was built, were these structures created by humans at all? If yes, one can only imagine what would have been their built and stamina.

For so many years, Indians as well as foreigners have been exploring the caves in search of answers. Many of them keep coming to these caves repeatedly, each time discovering something new.

For me, I had sneaked out of the ‘maximum city’ with the desire to visit these exceptional creations, to bask in the glory of the past and unravel some historical stories. I did that and much more.

As one stands in awe at one of the ancient hallmarks of artistic excellence, under the clear blue sky of Aurangabad, few questions remain unanswered. Now I know why so many travellers visit this National heritage site multiple times. I wish to go back again soon to find out more.

Following is the line which is perfect for this situation.

Ruins for me are the beginning. With the debris, you can construct new ideas. They are symbols of a beginning.”

Europe Budget Trip

Europe is a dream destination for many people but it also among the most costliest ones. But there are ways through which one can optimize the cost & still able to enjoy most of the things. I traveled as a backpacker & thus I believe in spending less & enjoying more. I managed to complete my trip around Rs 1.2 Lacs which includes everything from Visa, accommodation & site seeing.

Accommodation:

Accommodation is a prime most important factor to keep the price low. I prefer staying in hostels because of various reasons. These hostels are fun places to stay; as people from different places come & stay here. So,the crowded the place is the more than chances of getting insight about different countries. There is enormous opportunities to meet new people while staying at hostels. I booked hostels from Booking.com. Lately, I have found one more website named Jetradar. The concept of the site is to compare hotels from different websites. I found it very cool. I would surely try this next time.

On average keep a budget of 20-25 Euros per day for staying at hostels. This budget may vary with the cities, places & seasons. However, broadly one should be able to stay in or around this budget only.

Food:

After traveling to many countries & places. I realized the best way to keep the price towards food on a lower side is by eating on streets or cooking by oneself. Hostels or home accommodation allows a person to cook. I had bought groceries from the supermarkets & cooked my own food. It was easy to find supermarkets in all the cities I traveled. The rates are also reasonable, so it won’t bite your pocket. It is difficult to put a limit on food items as the appetite of the person varies.

Site Seeings:

There are numerous sites in Europe which are worth visiting. The best way to keep the price on the check is by buying city cards. These city cards offer a great solution for a traveler. It includes commutation in public transports & also allows free entry to some of the attractions. I benefited a lot with these cards. It saves fortunes if one takes public transport. I bought cards from Iamsterdam & Barcelona.de. Usually, city cards price varies with duration & things involved in it.

There is always some cost attached to traveling. But, there are few ways through which one can reduce the expenses & still able to benefit the most of it. I traveled on a shoe string budget & was able to cover most of the things which are expected. I won’t say I covered everything & experienced everything. But, I enjoyed whatever I was able to.

Traveling solo can be a dangerous affair. However, in my experience, I felt European city were safe. I traveled in the night & walked on empty streets but never felt unsafe except for few minor instances. Overall it was a safe affair. I enjoyed my time over there & hope to keep visiting in the years to come.

I hope this will help you to plan better & in a more efficient way.

Is Barcelona Safe To Travel

Barcelona is a perfect blend of nature & artistic touch. The city has known for its amazing architectures. But, if a person traveling solo here is it really worth it? I have traveled solo to this majestic place & in this post, I will cover; Is Barcelona Safe to travel solo?

Every place has its pros & cons & Barcelona is no different. There will always be some disturbing element. However, Barcelona can be surely be seen as a safe city to travel alone. During my trip, I saw lots of solo travelers wandering late night & having fun. There is nothing alarming in the city. The place is jam-packed with the travelers. However, still few things need to be kept in the mind.

Pick Pocketing:

The most common practice at every touristic place is pick pocketing. This is very prevalent on a crowded street, as people often are at ease. Make sure one is always having an attention towards his/her belongings. Better to be safe than sorry.

Theft:

Never leave your luggage unguarded. As anyone can pick the same & run away in the crowd. It is recommended to keep the luggage close to oneself or have an attention to the same. Thefts & snatching are rare in Barcelona. Still, it is better to be on a safer side.

Avoid shady places:

There are many shady places in the city & one should only explore these places if these are perfectly safe.  Enquire about the place before visiting the place.

Beggars:

It was disheartening to see the people begging & it was mainly by the guys of South Asian Ethnicity. A guy came to me asked for some money randomly. I was shocked with his approach. I told him to find some other guy. This case is extremely rare in Barcelona. But, La Ramblas street is bit different. One can find such people with ease. These are not threat but it bothers sometime.

Paris Solo Travel: Is It Safe To Travel Solo?

Paris is the by far one of the most popular cities to visit in the whole world. The place attracts thousands of tourists each year. But, is it safe to travel solo to this wonderful place? I went to Paris alone & this question was in the back of my mind because of the few stories related to the places. So, I thought to answer the question; Paris Solo Travel & is it really safe to travel?

Usually traveling solo is not an issue for the tourists. However, there are few points that one should always keep in the mind while traveling. No place is incident proof & precautions are always advisable. Thus, below are the few points which should be kept in the mind while visiting this place.

Thefts:

The most tourist place in the Paris is Eiffel Tower & it is crowded by pick pocketer. There are many such incidents of pickpocketing. Thus, it is advisable to keep valuables in check & check for your surrounding. To be on a safer side carry as fewer documents as required.

Remote Location:

Robbery is on the rise here. The best way to avoid this, is by limiting excess to a remote location. Avoid roaming in the less crowded places during night time. Always stay near the people. Traveling in the night is safe. However, there are some places which are not safe to travel during late hours. Also, use public transport while commuting. Paris transport system is perfect & it has great connectivity.

Touristic Scams:

There are many games happening near Eiffel Tower & street game like “find the ball” is very famous. At first, the host will project as if he is taking advice from you. However, if you answer they will ask for your participation & you will have to participate even if you are not willing to do the same. This is a most common scene near Eiffel Tower. Avoid these types of games.

These are the only things I can think of. Other than this Paris is the completely safe

city to travel. The beauty of the place is unmatched & unparalleled. There are only a few cities which can live up to there reputation & Paris will certainly be on that list. Enjoy the beauty of the place & share some memories with your friends & relative.

Barcelona On Budget

Barcelona is one of the best cities in the world & also one of the prime cities of Spain. The rich culture & aura of the city is unmatched. Being a budget traveler. I try to keep my accounts in check & Barcelona was no different. I spend wisely & was able to complete my Europe trip in around 1.2 Lacs all inclusive. It seems to be very less. In this post, I will share my tips & tricks for keeping the budget in check.  This post is about Barcelona On Budget.

Budget is usually bifurcated into following heads. Accommodation, Food, Site Seeing & Transfers. If all these are managed then it is very easy to keep the price in check. As I feel there are so many destinations to cover & spending lavishly in each one of them will robe me from other destinations experiences. Thus, I spend the required & keep the price as low as possible.

Flights:

Flights are an important factor to keep the price low. The earlier, one book the tickets the cheaper it will be. Somewhere I read that, last minute tickets are cheaper. But, I have not encountered this situation till now. I booked the tickets 4 months prior the date of journey. The websites I refer are Skyscanner, Jetradar & google flights. These provide the best rate possible to book a flight.

Accommodation:

Accommodation is pretty important factor in touristic cities. As the prices of normal hotels are on higher side due to high demand. I mostly stay in Hostels, the reason being it helps me to keep the price very low & also helps me to interact with other backpackers. I stayed in the most premium part of the Barcelona i.e La Ramblas street & gave approx 80 Euros for 4 days of stay. An important aspect is the facility provided by the hostel. Most of the hostels provide a kitchen & a safety box to keep belongings. However, common washrooms & public utility area can be disheartening but everything comes up with pros & cons. I chose to keep the price low in return for some extra luxury. I book most of hostel stay through Booking.com (It allows free cancellation & has a very basic interface). The average rate of hostel starts from  20 Euros. But, this varies depending upon the time of the booking. At some places, it is as low as 10 Euros. But, expect to pay somewhere between 20 to 30 Euros per night.

Food:

Food is great compared to some of the other European places. After spending few days in Amsterdam & Paris, I was dying to have some good food & Barcelona literary helped me to satisfy my taste buds. Being a VEGETARIAN, it is difficult to get quality food. However, A “Wok The Walk” outlet provided with some Asiatic taste. An average price was approx 3 to 4 Euros for a plate of noodles. Another way is to cook the food, there are plenty of supermarkets available all around the city which are open 24*7. Also, the supermarket doesn’t sell alcohol after 11 pm. But, you can find some of the Asian guys selling cans of beer all night. For Indians, if in La Ramblas street expect to find some local Indian delights like Samosa & Gulab Jamun. A food at the restaurants will cost around 25 to 30 Euros.

Commutation:

There are few options available for commutation either by a bus, metro or renting a bicycle. I bought city card of 5 days, which allowed me to explore various modes of transport for free. The cost of 5 days city card is 60 Euros. The benefits vary with cards. There are various service providers who offer different types of cards for easy commutation & other benefits. It is the best investment as it helps you to skip the line & manage days in a more efficient way. I traveled mostly by metros & buses. It is easy to get card from Get your guide, Barcelona.de & tiqets.  For the people, who are looking for daily commutation cards. There is a stack of 10 tickets which cost approx. 9 Euros if you are traveling in one zone. The zone concept is very confusing. The best would be to buy city cards. Also, city cards don’t work during the night so have to pay extra for night travel. There are buses in the night so no issue in commutation during night.

Site Seeing:

Like all tourist places, Barcelona is full of attractions. But, attractions come with some price. There are entry charges for nearly all the touristic attractions. So, be prepared to pay for that. It would be better to short list few activities & try on those activities to keep the price low. On average the prices to entry start from 7 Euros. There are different site seeing options available some of them are Picasso Museum, Barcelona History museum, aquarium etc. So, if visiting Barcelona buckle up for some of the mind blowing experiences.

I am sure by following above mentioned techniques one will be able to keep the price low. I did the same & completed my trip at a very decent sum.

The average amount expenditure considering all the activities shall come around 45-50 Euros per day. So, plan budget accordingly.

First Impression of Paris

France Cooking GIF by Disney Pixar - Find & Share on GIPHY

Paris capital of France is one of the most famous cities in the world. This city lone attracts 20 million tourists every year. Paris is known for its fashion, architect & museums. First timers are always in the aww with the place; especially with the aura of the Eiffel Tower. It is one of the sites which will forever be engraved in your senses.

“I am on a bus traveling to Paris. It’s already 9:30 pm & sun is about to set. It’s strange to experience the sunset as late as 10 pm. The bus stopped at the bus station & looking for the way to reach my hotel. It is getting late. I entered a metro station, a vintage feeling of the metro. After figuring out the way I took a  ticket. People are waiting for their turn to get on the train. The empty coaches are bliss especially after traveling in jam-packed trains in India. There are people kissing each other, romance is in the air. Everyone is minding their own business

I still need to cover few km before I reach my hotel room. I booked the cheapest hotel available on Booking.com. The name of the place was Hotel Paris. From metro, I am looking out of the window to get the glimpse of the city. From outside it is difficult to get the feel of the city.”

“I get down at my stop, it’s already dark; I doubt I could roam the city at this hour. But, I need to have something to eat.” Finding hotel was a difficult part as there was no sign & nobody knew exactly where is the place. I figured out the place with great difficulty & went straight ahead to my room. “In the whole day, this is the best part I talked to myself, I could see the whole city in front of my eyes. The distant view of Eiffel tower is pumping my energy level. I feel this will be exciting. I am roaming the streets in search for some food. Most of the shops are closed &  the shady environment is scary. The colored men are roaming & it is making me more scarier. There is one shop I chose to enter but it was on the verge of closing down. So, I need to move some other place. I had a sandwich at one vanilla shop. The taste was not that great however for empty stomach it was much-needed input.

The next morning I had a local guide booked from the Local Guddy. Most of the day went while exploring the museums, lock bridge & few gardens. There was one story of a priest who fell in love with the women which was considered as a sin during those times. However, they some how managed to make it work. The sculpture of them is still engraved in the doors of the city. There is a reason why Paris is considered as one of the most romantic cities in the world & story like these stamp authority on the same.

After spending most of the day traveling across the city & enjoying the architecture of the city. I sat near Eiffel tower.  “There is a huge steel structure in front of me, the mighty structure is nothing which is shown in the photos. The beauty of the structure is unmatched. I have never seen anything like this. A blue background & beautifully build structure is a calming experience. People are sitting in the park & enjoying this scenic view. The sun is about to set. I am waiting for lights to get on. I think most of the people are waiting for this only.”

After an hour

“The crowd is still building up, the sun is slowly getting vanished. The dark is capturing the moment & slowly far away lights are lighting up the tower. There are people who started clapping after tower starts to glow up. To add to the already mesmerizing evening a group of musicians started playing the music of Titanic. The view was one of its kind of experience. I am amazed how some structure can have so much to tell. I sat here for nearly 2 hours without getting tired. It was overwhelming to review my life story in front of this tower. I am still sitting there & still looking at this might figure wondering why I travel solo & then realize this is how it is ought to be. Travel to far places to enjoy the beauty of it. Leaving behind the stress of daily life & truly enjoying the moment.”

Things To Do In Paris

Things to do in Paris

Paris is one of the cities which truly lives upto its reputation. The aura of the city is unparallel & it can be experienced only by visiting. There is so much to see in the city that one is often confused on what to visit & what to skip. I visited Paris only for a day due to a tight schedule. However, in that one day, I covered most of the parts of the Paris. This post is all about things to do in Paris. So, CHOOSE WISELY !!

Louvre Museum:

Louvre Museum is the world’s largest art museum. This  attraction is among the most visited places in the city. The places is continuously flooded with the tourists & days here can be long due to large crowd.  Louvre Palace & glass pyramid is a jaw dropping experience. This certainly is one of the must visit place in the Paris. An entry fee of 9 Euros is applicable. However, entry is free for children under 18 (on showing age proof). Entry is also free at some days & for some EU members. Information of the same can be found at Louvre.fr.

Also, one can buy city cards & explore the museums & attractions at a minimum cost. Buy city cards from here Get Your Guide.

Notre Dam:

The monument is the perfect glimpse of the FRENCH GOTHIC ARCHITECTURE & is among the oldest churches of the world. The gates of the chruch has its own stories to tell, the gargoyles shall be among the most prominent feature of the church. The places is packed with the tourists. Expect long queues here. Entrance is free here, but to enter the tower one need to spend approx. 9 Euros.

The best way would be to get a guide & ask them about the history & facts. Every details has something new to offer. I booked a tour through Local Guddy, which helped me to learn about the place in a much deeper way.

Notre Dam Mark My Adventure

Arc The Triomphe:

This famous arc of 19th century is situated at the end of the famous street Champs Elysees. The arch is fabulous for clicking few pictures. The monument is beautiful & worth visiting. There is an option on climbing to the top of the Triomphe. To reach the top expect to pay around 8 Euros.

The Basilica of Sacred Heart Of Paris:

Basilica of sacred heart of Paris was a surprise package for me. The place is commonly known as Sacré-Cœur. The place is located at the highest point of Paris. The architecture is eye catching for sure. This white structure is beautifully carved. One more thing that every one can explore is the view of full city. The panaromic view of the city is hard to get from anyother location. Whole of the city’s charm can be witnessed through this point. Entry fee to dome & cyrpt is applicable. Expect to pay 8 Euros for entries.

Mark My Adventure

Eiffel Tower:

Probably the most attracting monument of the whole world. The mighty EIFFEL TOWER. A trip to Paris is incomplete without visiting Eiffel Tower. The 984 Feet monument is standing tall in the midst of the city. The steel structure is more beautiful during the evenings, when sun is setting, transition of colors is visible & slowly slowly the tower is litting up. The experience of tower during the evening is a MUST DO ACTIVITY while in the city.

The structure has total 3 floors. Entry to the garden is free. However, one need to pay approx 7 Euros to climb upto the 2nd floor. Charges of using elevator to 2nd floor is higher compared to climbing the stairs. Further, from 2nd floor to the top; expect to pay approx 8 Euros. But, one drawback of the place is the crowd. Reaching to the top of the tower is time consuming event, due to crowds (Consider 2 to 3 hours on average.)

Eiffel Tower Mark My Adventure

The best place to watch the tower is from Palais De Chaillot. There is a clear view of the Eiffel Tower. Sit around the corner & enjoy the magic of Eiffel tower.

Other than the things I have mentioned there are lot of other activities one can do. Like photo session at Lock Bridge or getting lost in the streets of the Cite or the walk in the ost luxurious lane of Champs Elysees . There are so many stories that one certainly greed for more. I would recommend a guided tour of the city to know about the history of the place. The reason I am saying this is because of the rich history of the city. If history attracts you then a guided tour is must.

It is ought to get excited for the place which is on the world since ages & has been epicenter for the development.

Mark My Adventure

My time permitted (Europe Trip) only a day at this majestic place. However, spend atleast 3 days here & explore every part of the city.

Lyon: A Half Day Random Tour

I booked a bus from Paris to Barcelona. The reason of which, was to enjoy the pristine landscapes of the France. I chose to book my bus tickets through Flexi bus & started my journey during the mid night from the Paris. I didn’t realized that I had a layover of roughly 6 hours in a small city called “LYON. To be frank, I was not very animated by discovering this fact. I thought It would be a waste of time. However, no other option except to stay & kill time. I reached aroun 8 in the morning. A bus dropped me at the bus station, & there were hardly any shops open. I sat there for half an hour & thought the best way to kill the time would be to explore the city.

Lyon:

I am walking down the streets, there are hardly any people in the vicinity. The narrow roads are all I can see. I crossed the underpass & started walking on the pavements. Soon I saw a small market, I have my backpack & walking all the way from bus stand is tiring. However, to save the cost of transport I decided to walk all the way. After crossing few narrow streets I am at the start of the bridge & I could see a group of buildings built on the slope. The view is amazing, I want to cross the bridge & look on the other side. However, I am too tired to walk. Thus, I decided to take a long walk back to the bus station. A cycle stand draws my attention. One can rent of the bicycle for a day in 1.5 Euro, which is very affordable. But, there is one problem, I don’t know how to handle the machine. Luckily, a guy explains everything & in few minutes & I am good to go. It was super awesome to know that one can start cycle journey from cycle stand & drop the cycle to another cycle stand.
Lyon Mark My Adventure
Riding my bike I cross the bridge & enjoying the breath taking view of the landscapes. I cycling the length & breath of the city. The  guy at the subway, told me about the park & I decided to give a visit to that park. I enter the park & it was amazing to see a number of outdoor activities one do in France. Small kids running, cycling & playing with their parents. Some guys were having barbeque & some were just relaxing. The way people enjoy life is an eye opener to me. Residing from a place where people are constantly running & working hard to make a living. However, in this part of the world, it is entirely different.
Lyon City
I decide to sit in the park, soak some sunshine & review my journey till now. There is one zoo in the park which has Girraffe & looking small kids watch these are some experience.

Sometimes, untouchedroads takes you to unknown locations & it is best for you. People are often afraid to take path less traveled. However, if we take that extra step; we never know what amazing things are stored for us. For me Lyon was that unknown path. Usually, I read about the place before going. In this case, I was unaware of the place. I asked a guy working at subway to tell me few places to cover. It’s amazing what one can learn while on roads.
