Amsterdam is the capital of The Netherlands & it is one of the most visited cities in the world. The place is known for young crowd & expat culture. City’s party culture is unmatched if compared to its counterparts. Because of the nightlife, the city is operational 24 * 7. It is hard to find a silent patch while in the city.
The city favorite mode of transport is the cycles. Theft of the cycles is the most common all over the city. It is advisable to lock your cycle wherever you go. As in minutes, someone can rob you of your valuable cycle. So, take care of the same while on the streets.
Pickpocketing is not common in Amsterdam. However, there have been few incidents of the same. It is better to keep your belongings near. While boarding a bus or a tram aware of your surroundings & keep belongings at the reachable distance.
An overdose of cannabis & truffles is not advisable. As both these affect the mind directly. Losing senses are the common affairs after having these. So, the best would be to take these under some supervision. Doing it alone could create a problem.
Other than these there is hardly any problem for solo travelers. The place is super fun & mostly trouble free. If young & free visit this place. It will blow your mind with its culture.
