Nha Trang international airport is located approx 30 Km from the city center. There are options to reach directly at this place, but the frequencies of flights are pretty low. Buses are the favorable mode of transportation in Vietnam. One can find bus either from Ho Chi Minh, Mui Ne or Da Nang to Nha Trang. The time required to reach Nha Trang from Ho Chi Minh & Da Nang is approx 10 to 12 hours. Usually, a hostel reception can help you book a ticket in any of the service providers. The buses are in good condition. Hence, the journey is comfortable.Things To Do In Nha Trang:
So, what to do in Nha Trang? Apart from some regular activities. There are some unique things to do which I would like to share a few of them. I am sure you will find some of the useful things here.Ba Ho Waterfalls:
Ever fancied a cliff jumping. If yes, then Ba Ho waterfalls is the answer to that question. Located some 30 or 40 Km from the main city. A path is carved through the jungle. A good 30 min walk is required to reach the first part of the waterfall. This is the only place where one can do cliff jumping. It is scary than shown on TV or the internet. There are 2 more waterfall points. For which you need to walk through the path highlighted by a red ink. The view from the top is amazing & the best part without a doubt is jumping in the cold water. Truly one of the unique things to do in Nha Trang.Doc Let:
The quiet clean beach is approx an hour drive from the main city. The drive is beautiful, riding through the hills adjacent to oceans or lush green rice fields is pure blissful. The only reason to visit this place is for its beaches.Night Market:
In the name of the nightlife, Nha Trang is not much of a sport. The night market is famous among travelers. But, don't expect much from the place. A small compound crowded with tourists doesn't offer anything new. But, if you have an eye you might find some interesting stuff here.Nha Trang Beach:
Nha Trang Beach is famous among the locals. However, it is advisable to reach the place during the evening as the crowd is less. Make sure you keep your belongings safe as there are many instances of theft. Evenings are pleasant near the beach.Long Son Pagoda:
Long Son Pagoda is located on the foothills of Trai Thuy Mountain. The place is famous for the huge White Marble Buddha image, which can be seen from any part of the city.Cathedral of Christ the King:
The church is aesthetically beautiful & is a glimpse of the past. The church is located on the main road. Thus, it can be easily covered during your city trip.Mud Bath:
Mud baths are largely famous at this part of the world. There are numerous places where one can experience this unique activity.
Most of the mud bath centers are located outside the city. However, there are few places like Galina hotel which is located in the city center.
The prices are on a higher side for such experience. But, if you have time & money it is worth an experience.
Rooftop Bars:
Nha Trang has a beautiful coastline & there are many high rise buildings. The view from the top is amazing & it is a great way to spend some quality time with your loved ones.How Much Money Is Required?
Accommodation:
Staying a night in Nha Trang will cost you from Rs 250 onwards. There are many options available to choose from. The place I stayed in was Mjozo Dorm. The best place for backpackers to stay, located at walkable distance from the beach the hostel is super fun.Commutation:
The best way to commute in Nha Trang is via motorbike. The hostel can help you get one. One can rent a motorbike at INR 400 or 500. This is the best way to commute. But, make sure you are well aware of the traffic sense of Vietnam. As accidents are pretty usual sites here.Food:
Many street foods options are available & rate card is pretty cheap. Even for vegetarians, there are ample options to eat a chain of Indian restaurants are available & one of this elite group is Ganesha. Bo De restaurant is a local place to eat some yummy vegetarian foods. Trust me the taste is really nice out here.Activities:
Excluding the mud bath, most of the other activities can be completed within INR 500 each activity (this is excluding scuba diving). As such there are no major attractions in Nha Trang but some activities are worth doing.A daily budget of INR 1,000 to 1,500 (20 USD) is enough considering you are staying in hostels & spend wisely.
A trip is incomplete without the pics. During the time of this trip, I used an iPhone 6s which clicks awesome pics. So, I would recommend you buying a great camera phone to take some breathtaking pics.
Apart from a phone camera, I use GoPro an adventure camera to shoot video & click photos. The product is pretty handy & captures mind blogging videos. GoPro is easy & handy to use, which makes it a must buy.

Skyscanner: Skyscanner compares various sites & sort the flights based on the rates. A great way to check flight cost. Although the only drawback is that rates are flexible. Hence, the cost might change while you are making the payment.
